'Shutter Dreams' Photography

I'm James,  family photographer and dad of an adventurous 7 year old.

I believe in capturing natural images and putting my subjects at ease.   Most of us feel nervous when thrust into the spotlight and rarely do we know how to pose.  I create a friendly, relaxed atmosophere and bring out the best.  The client is as much in control of the shoot as I am and we work together to capture memories rich with feeling.

Being a parent,  I'm good at bringing out the best in kids, letting them pull every kind of face as well as getting those in-between shots that capture them unawares!

I have my own home photography studio and love creating different moods depending on what my clients want to achieve.  

I'm equally happy to travel and love to explore the beaches, forests and  lochs of Scotland.

I am irresistably drawn to the character of Scotland, its land, history and people.
